How much is one visitor worth?
Traffic equals money? I think so, but how much is a visitor worth?
If you can get traffic, and sustain it, you will sure make money. So how do you get traffic? Well, you wouldn't know until you try it out. You do not need to worry about making money at this stage, in fact, it is advisable that you do not try and make money for two reasons. First, you will lose focus, your focus will be on money more than traffic. Two, if you want to make money from traffic, the most obvious way is advertising. People tend to get annoyed as soon as they see advertising, especially flashing ones, and sometimes Google AdSense.
Once you get a stable number of unique visitors a day, advertisers will surely pay to advertise on your site.
It is quite hard to sustain visitor numbers, your website must be updated regularly to attract visitors to come back. How about getting unique visitors. How many websites do you know that has had over 1,000,000 unique visitors? Is it harder to get 5,000 visitors per day and sustain that over 200 days or is it harder to get 1,000,000 unique visitors? Personally, I think it is harder to get 1,000,000 unique visitors, but getting 5,000 visitors per day is not easy either.
The big question is, how much is one visitor worth? To me, each visitor is worth nothing in money terms, as I have no advertising on my blog. However, each visitor could be worth something in terms of diggs, and each visitor "means a lot to me".
For auction sites, one visitor could be worth $1, another could be worth $1 million dollars, but for websites that only gets income from advertising companies, just how much is one visitor worth in dollar terms? I surely would be interested.
